Bronze Sculpture

I began sculpting with clay in high-school with a gifted art teacher and studied sculpture at UC Berkeley. I sculpted in clay at UC Berkeley and learned that sculpture could include other unexpected elements such as ready-mades, fabric, photography. My mind opened up to the many possibilities.

In 1991-2 I returned to sculpting in clay. I could afford small casts in bronze but the small sculpture led to opportunities. For example, Gerald Brett, an  Arts Commissioner for the City of Palo Alto saw a model of Go Mama and with others, commissioned a large version for California Avenue.
