Sculpture

Over the last decade and currently I’m using technology to expand my artistic expression. I learned to use ZBrush software, a tool to create 3D images as files, manipulate and sculpt them. It took a decade to know how to make fine art out of what is a crude, technical process. I experimented by combining, mixing, and painting the forms. I mounted and unmounted the forms on the wall, on steel frames, with found objects, and on canvas. Finally, I achieved what is best described as 3D painting/collages and assemblage sculpture.

In the 2000s I sculpted in clay and cast cement as a less expensive choice to casting bronze and was drawn to its earthiness. The public art sculpture Rrrun was initially a small cast cement sculpture, later cast in a mix of cement and fiberglass.
